Tencent ​Mobility, a ‌unit of ​Tencent ​Holdings , is seeking ⁠to ​raise up ​to $1.55 billion by selling ​shares ​in Chinese short-video ‌company ⁠Kuaishou Technology , according ​to ​term ⁠sheet seen ​by ​Reuters ⁠on Monday.

China's Kuaishou Technology said on Thursday a group of investors including Alibaba and Tencent will inject over 19 billion yuan ($2.80 billion) ​in Kling AI, while valuing the popular AI video arm ​at $15 billion on a pre-money basis.

Kuaishou raises 19 billion yuan ($2.79 billion) for its Kling AI subsidiary, which targets creators with AI-driven services. The company was reportedly targeting a valuation of $15 billion from the raise, which drew $200 million from Tencent.

Kuaishou Technology's Kling has raised around $2 billion from investors, as the short-video company seeks to spin off and list its artificial-intelligence video unit.

Kuaishou Technology remains a hold as near-term earnings and margin pressures persist despite a stronger AI narrative. Kling AI's rapid growth—Q1 revenue >RMB650 million, March ARR ~$500 million—makes KUASF's AI investment case more credible. Core platform fundamentals are intact, with AI-driven gains in online marketing and e-commerce offset by ongoing live streaming weakness.
