Bitcoin's recent breakout coincided with the U.S. Treasury's bond buyback announcement, and while gold ETF demand remains strong, higher-for-longer Fed rate expectations are capping the non-yielding metal's gains, according to Fiona Cincotta, Senior Market Analyst at StoneX.

As of September 18, 2026, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US managed $102.532 billion in assets, equating to 6.29% of the total market capitalization of Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC).  To reach 10%, these ETFs would need to increase their holdings by $60.
